Abstract submission deadline: November 14, 2005 (Extended to November 17, 2005)

All abstracts will be accepted electronically via the World Wide Web. Click here to submit your abstract.

Abstracts will appear on the Web and in the program and abstracts volume exactly as submitted, i.e., no corrections, additions, revisions or deletions will be made by the GSA staff. Please proof your text carefully before submitting.

Receipt of each abstract submission as entered by the author will be acknowledged immediately on screen. Confirmation of abstract submission will include an abstract control number and author ID number for future reference, and text of the abstract. If you do not receive a confirmation immediately after you submit, your abstract was not successfully submitted.

Some of the abstracts will be chosen for platform presentations. Authors who do not wish to give an oral presentation should indicate this by marking the appropriate field on the Web abstract submission form. Because platform presentation requests far exceed available presentation slots, authors should be prepared to present a poster if their abstract is not selected for platform presentation.

Select a session topic area from the following list. Select the area that best defines the session in which you would like to be included. Insert the number in the appropriate field on the Web abstract submission form.

  1. Growth, Differentiation and Cancer
  2. Gene Interactions and Unraveling Complex Traits
  3. Insights into Epigenetic Phenomena
  4. Stem Cell Genetics
  5. Neurological Diseases
  6. Comparative Genomics
  7. Technology
  8. Other

Posters will be grouped by the session topic areas listed above. Additional groupings may be added in response to the abstracts that are submitted.

Presentation assignments will be posted on the meeting Web site on or around December 8, 2005. Authors will be sent an e-mail reminder to visit the site for presentation assignments.

The majority of the submitted abstracts will be scheduled as posters. There will be two poster sessions. Posters may be mounted beginning at 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 6, and must be removed by 7:00 PM on Saturday, January 8. The poster area is equipped with wireless Internet access so that authors can demo software and websites if they bring a laptop equipped with wireless modem.

The following equipment will be provided in the platform sessions: a MAC computer loaded with PowerPoint, an LCD projector, a screen, a lectern, a laser pointer and a lavaliere microphone. Please have your presentation stored on a CD, memory stick or zip drive. Presenters should plan to be in the session room 1 hour prior to the start of the session to load their presentation.

Program and abstracts volumes are included in the meeting registration fee and will be distributed to registrants at the meeting.
