Hotel and Travel
Room Reservation Deadline: December 1, 2005.
The Conference will be at the Town and Country Resort & Convention Center, 500 Hotel Circle North, San Diego, California, 92108; telephone (619) 291-7131. The facility is conveniently located near the San Diego Airport and is adjacent to the San Diego Trolley System’s Fashion Valley Transit Station. San Diego is easily accessible by air and major interstate highways.
The Town and Country Resort & Convention Center consists of several buildings situated among acres of lush gardens and palm trees. A single room is $138 and double rooms are $148. All rates are per room, per night and do not include local room tax which is currently 10.5%.
To reserve a hotel room, you may make your reservations online. You will need to enter the meeting attendee code: GSA. Or, if you prefer, reservations also may be made by telephone (800) 772-8527 (reservations only). General information is available at the hotel website. Note that the reservations will be accepted only when accompanied by a credit card guarantee or a deposit of the first night’s room and tax.
Room Reservation Cancellation Policy: to receive a credit or refund of the required first night’s room and tax deposit, cancellation must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date and time. Check-in time is 3:00 PM, so the cancellation must be made by 3:00 PM 1 day before the reserved arrival date.
Though the Town and Country Resort & Convention Center is handicapped accessible, it is the guest’s responsibility to advise the hotel of special needs as far in advance as possible. Every effort will be made to accommodate special needs.
Ground Transportation
Shuttle van service and taxis are available at the airport. Shuttle service is currently $9.50 each way; taxi service currently about $16.00 each way.
Parking
Self parking is available at the Town and Country Resort & Convention Center at $10 per day (with in and out privileges) for guests staying at the hotel, and at $2 per hour (up to a daily maximum of $12) for those not staying at the hotel.
